Lung nodules with a diameter of 1cm need to be resected if the possibility of malignancy is high, but no special treatment is needed if there is no significant change in the long-term follow-up. Lung nodule is a general term for new organisms in the lungs with a maximum diameter of less than 3 cm. Most of the lung nodules found in the clinic are benign, and a few are malignant tumors. Due to people’s fear of malignant tumors, most of them are still anxious once lung nodules are found, and this anxiety tends to lead to poorer quality of life and may also promote the development of malignant tumors. The latest expert consensus agrees that solid lung nodules with a diameter of more than 8 millimeters are recommended to be treated with pulmonary nodule resection if the malignancy is considered to be high, so as to facilitate early diagnosis, early treatment and better prognosis.
