hbcab, or HBcAb, is the full name of the hepatitis B virus core antibody. hbcab positivity, or hepatitis B virus core antibody positivity, indicates that the patient has a previous hepatitis B infection or is an asymptomatic hepatitis B infected person. Whether the patient has been previously infected with the hepatitis B virus and has been cured, or is currently infected with the hepatitis B virus, this is reflected in a positive HBcAb, or hepatitis B virus core antibody. The patient needs to consult the doctor for quantitative nucleic acid test of hepatitis B virus, i.e. HBV-DNA test, to determine whether the hepatitis B virus is present in the body. If the HBV-DNA test result is also positive, it indicates that the hepatitis B virus is present in the body and is contagious. Further evaluation is needed, including liver function, kidney function and other organ function tests, and then follow the doctor’s instructions for symptomatic treatment. If the HBV-DNA test result is negative, it means that there is no hepatitis B virus in the body, and it is not contagious, so patients do not need to worry, and they can have regular checkups. Daily attention to light diet, do not eat spicy stimulating food, do not drink alcohol; keep a regular routine, avoid overwork.
