External ear canal pain may be caused by cerumen impaction with infection in the external ear canal, or improper force when pulling out the ear, which scratches the wall of the ear canal and causes inflammation of the external ear canal, or the accumulation of water in the ear is not dealt with when taking a bath or going swimming, which causes bacterial infection, and can also cause ear canal pain.
3. The clinical symptoms of middle ear pain are more obvious, which may be caused by inflammation of the middle ear, and there will be suppurative manifestations, such as the appearance of pus and severe ear pain.
In addition to this, neuropathic earache is more commonly associated with nasopharyngeal disorders, which can cause pain radiating to the ear.
