What are the dangers of hysteroscopy

Hysteroscopy refers to the application of dilatation of the uterine cavity with dilatation medium and access to the cervix and uterine cavity through the visualization system of the hysteroscope to understand the morphology of the uterine cavity, the condition of the lining, and the opening of the fallopian tubes bilaterally. Hysteroscopy also carries certain risks, which include the following: I. Bleeding: unskilled examination may cause uterine bleeding and injury. II. Uterine perforation: Some women with cervical stenosis, history of cervical surgery, excessive curvature of the uterus, small uterine cavity, or even unskilled operator may cause perforation of the uterus. Third, overhydration syndrome: this condition is caused by unskilled operation resulting in prolonged hysteroscopy, a large amount of water is absorbed by the body, resulting in water intoxication. Fourth, other: unskilled operation may also cause gas embolism, infection, adhesion of the uterine cavity and cervix.
