What is the role of hysteroscopy?

Hysteroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure in which a fiberoptic speculum with a light source is used to enter the uterine cavity and visualize the inside of the uterus for effective diagnosis of gynecological diseases. Hysteroscopy can effectively diagnose gynecological diseases by observing the shape of the uterine cavity, whether the thickness of the uterine lining is normal, whether there are endometrial polyps, abnormal uterine bleeding, recurrent miscarriages, whether there are malformations of the uterus, and whether the uterine cavity is adherent. Hysteroscopy should be performed within 3 to 7 days after menstruation and no sexual intercourse is allowed. If patients need to undergo hysteroscopy, they need to go to a regular hospital, choose the appropriate diagnostic method under the guidance of the doctor, and strictly follow the doctor’s instructions after the operation.
