Solid nodules are abnormal, substantial nodules that appear within normal tissues and organs of the body, such as lung nodules and thyroid nodules.
Substantial nodules may be caused by inflammatory stimuli, ionizing radiation, poor lifestyle habits, etc. They can be classified as benign or malignant nodules.
Benign nodules are generally more regular in shape, have clearer boundaries with the surrounding tissues and grow slowly; malignant nodules tend to be irregular in shape, have a richer blood supply, have unclear boundaries and grow faster.
If solid nodules exist in the organism, they can be diagnosed through imaging tests, laboratory tests, pathology tests, etc. After diagnosis, appropriate treatment plans can be formulated by specialized doctors.
