What is the efficacy of balsam fruits boiled in water?

The herb named Xiang Fu Zi (香附子) boiled in water has certain effects of regulating menstruation and relieving pain (regulating menstruation and relieving menstrual pain), regulating qi and broadening the middle (regulating the qi of the spleen and stomach), and detoxifying the liver and relieving depression (treating depressive illnesses by detoxifying the qi of the liver). It belongs to the liver, spleen and triple jiao meridians, and has the effects of dispersing the liver and relieving depression, regulating menstruation and relieving pain, regulating qi and broadening the middle, and is suitable for conditions such as liver depression and stagnation of qi (poor qi and blood transportation of the liver and emotional depression), breast distension and pain, stagnation of qi in the spleen and stomach, irregular menstruation, menstrual cramps, menstrual cramps, amenorrhea and other diseases. Clinically, it is often combined with other herbs, such as with Chai Hu, Angelica sinensis, and Chuan Xiong to treat dysmenorrhea and irregular menstruation, and with Sha Ren and Mu Xiang to treat hypochondrium (abdominal) distension and pain due to stagnation of qi in the spleen and stomach, and so on.
