The absorption of indapamide tablets is not affected by food. Indapamide tablets are a sulfonamide drug that is commonly used to treat high blood pressure. This medication increases the excretion of sodium and chloride in the urine and, to some extent, potassium and magnesium. Adverse reactions such as skin allergic reactions, papules, purpura, constipation, dizziness, and fatigue may occur after use of the drug, and usually resolve gradually after discontinuation of the drug. Patients who are breastfeeding women use the drug, stop breastfeeding, children’s use of the current data is not clear. The use of this drug is prohibited in patients with hypersensitivity to sulfanilamide, severe renal insufficiency, hepatic encephalopathy, hypokalemia, and pregnant women.
