Yupingfeng San is composed of three medicines: Fang Feng, Astragalus and Atractylodes Macrocephalae.
Yupingfeng San is a traditional Chinese medicine formula belonging to the tonic agent, which has the efficacy of benefiting qi and consolidating the epidermis to stop sweating (stopping sweating by consolidating the muscular epidermis) and is mostly used in the treatment of epidermal deficiency and spontaneous sweating (frequent and natural sweating due to the weakness of the muscular epidermis). It is usually used to treat people who suffer from superficial deficiency and spontaneous sweating (due to frequent and natural sweating caused by the weakness of the muscle surface). It is taken by people who suffer from sweating and bad wind, white color, pale tongue, thin white coating, and floating and weak pulse. The dosage of Fenghuang, Astragalus and Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae in Jade Screen Fung San is 1:2:2.
In the formula, Astragalus is sweet and warm to replenish the qi of the spleen and lungs, and can stabilize the surface and stop sweating as the monarch drug. Atractylodes Macrocephala strengthens the spleen and strengthens the qi to help Astragalus increase the efficacy of qi and consolidate the exterior of the surface as the subject medicine. The supporting medicine is Fang Feng (防风) which disperses the wind, and Huang Qi (黄芪) and Bai Zhu (白术) which benefit the qi and dispel the evil.
The combination of Astragalus with Atractylodes Macrocephalae is characterized by the fact that the sweat does not leak out and it is difficult for the external evil to invade internally.
