Fetal dual renal parenchymal echo enhancement may be normal, or it may be caused by hydronephrosis, fetal chromosomal abnormality and other reasons. 1. Normal phenomenon: Fetal dual renal parenchymal echo enhancement is most likely to be in the maternity ultrasound when the baby is holding back urine, so there will be enhancement of renal echoes, usually do not appear many times ultrasound review. 2. Fetal hydronephrosis: it may also be manifested as enhanced renal parenchymal echogenicity, but there is no good method when the fetus is in the mother’s body, usually it is to wait for the dynamic detection of hydronephrosis after the delivery, if the hydronephrosis is mild and does not increase, it can be left untreated, if the hydronephrosis is increasing gradually, it can be treated with surgery, such as minimally invasive retroperitoneal laparoscopic pyeloplasty. 3. Chromosomal abnormality: Fetal dual renal parenchymal echogenicity may also be associated with chromosomal abnormality, consider doing an amniocentesis to check fetal chromosomes. Fetal bilateral renal parenchymal echogenicity is recommended to be reviewed, and if there is any problem, it should be treated under the guidance of the doctor.
