Most of the multiple polyps in the body of the stomach are benign and some can become cancerous. Multiple polyps in the body of the stomach refers to the presence of two or more polyps in the middle part of the stomach. Most patients have no clinical symptoms in the early stage, and most of them are found during gastroscopy. The main manifestations of gastric polyps are vague pain and distension in the upper abdomen, and a few patients may have nausea and vomiting. Upper gastrointestinal bleeding may occur in some cases of combined ulcers. Larger polyps growing near the cardia may present with dysphagia. Gastric polyps are mainly categorized into adenomatous polyps and hyperplastic polyps according to their pathological manifestations. Adenomatous polyps can become cancerous if they are adenomatous, while hyperplastic polyps are mainly related to chronic inflammatory stimulation, and generally do not become cancerous. Gastric polyps need to be combined with pathologic biopsy results to determine the nature of the polyp. After the discovery of polyps, we must go to the gastroenterology department of regular hospitals, and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
