How to treat and prevent macrosomia?

Patients with macrosomia have a mild itchy sensation on their own. There are usually no systemic symptoms and the course of the disease is extremely slow, often extending over several years or a decade. In the early stages, the disease is indistinguishable by the presence of small collagen fibers around the blood vessels that form nodules, with more fibroblasts and intricately arranged collagen fibers that are mostly immature. Later, these fibers increase and become transparent, while the blood vessels are gradually reduced.

Treatment: (1) Surgery The principle of treatment is to select the appropriate time for surgery to remove the scar, loosen the contracted soft tissue, repair the wound and strengthen the functional exercise after surgery.

1. Timing of surgery (1) To be performed after the scar is stabilized and the base is loosened. Premature surgery, the anatomical level is not clear, prone to misinjury, and more bleeding. Generally one year after the injury heals. While waiting for the timing of surgery, functional exercises should be actively performed and supplemented with massage, physical therapy, and body therapy to stop the progress of contracture, promote the softening and loosening of the scar, and prevent stiffening of the joint.

(2) For contracture scar in the eyelid or perioral area, surgery should be performed as early as possible in order to protect vision or solve the difficulty in eating.

(3) In case of contracture of keloid scars in functional areas after burns, surgery can be performed early, especially in children, in order to avoid secondary deformities.

(2) Excision of scar and release of contracture This is the key step of surgical treatment.

(B) Closure treatment Intradermal injection of jonisolone acetate or trenbolone A suspension once a week for 4 to 5 times. Monthly corticosteroid injections can flatten the keloid to some extent.

(iii) Audio electrotherapy has the effect of reducing swelling, analgesia and promoting the absorption of scar tissue.

(iv) C02 laser treatment Ultra-pulse C02 laser treatment is feasible for small keloids. It has certain effect.

Preventive measures for giant scarring: In severe cases, pay attention to minimize mechanical, chemical and thermal stimulation of the affected area, avoid repeated pulling, frictional ulceration and the occurrence of infection. Usually pay attention to prevent trauma, burns, ear piercing, eyebrow tattoo lines, etc. to avoid damaging the dermis, especially the parts with poor service free function, such as chest, back of shoulder, etc. Maintain an optimistic and happy mood. Long-term mental tension, anxiety, irritability, pessimism and other emotions will make the balance of the cortical excitation and inhibition process out of balance, so you need to keep a happy mood.
