How to Treat Syphilis

Plum nucleus qi (similar to pharyngeal foreign body sensation) is usually characterized by liver depression and qi stagnation (poor qi and blood transportation in the liver and depression) and phlegm and qi interlacing (phlegm in the body accompanied by poor qi), and it can be treated by traditional Chinese medicines, such as Free San and Half-summer and Hau-Park Soup.
1. The principle of treatment is to dissipate knots and relieve depression, dredge the liver and regulate qi (regulate the stagnation of liver qi), and commonly used medicines are Plus Reduction of Free San.
2. Phlegm-Qi Mutual Conjugation syndrome: the patient manifests foreign body sensation in the throat, self-consciousness of having phlegm in the throat, unable to spit it out, sometimes light, sometimes heavy, loss of appetite, coughing accompanied by spitting of white phlegm, distension of stomach and epigastric region as well as the abdomen, hiccups, pale and fat tongue, white and greasy moss, and slippery and stringy pulse. The principle of treatment is to move qi and direct stagnation, disperse knots and remove phlegm. Commonly used medicines are Half-summer and Thick-stemmed Park Soup plus subtractions.
