How to do nasaloscopy

Nasoscopy means that the doctor inserts an examination tool into the patient’s nostrils to examine the condition. Numbing medication is sprayed 3 to 4 times before the procedure to reduce the pain caused during the procedure. After the patient is in a sitting or supine position, the doctor inserts a long, thin device with a lens at the front into the patient’s nasal cavity. The device is inserted in a deeper position, from the anterior nostril to the posterior nostril along the nasal passage. Nasoscopy can observe the lesions and anatomical structures on the surface of the nose, such as the nasal septum, inferior turbinate, middle turbinate, inferior nasal tract, middle nasal tract, and mucous membranes and masses in the nasopharynx. Patients are advised to go to a specialized hospital for nasaloscopy and to communicate with the doctor in time if there is any discomfort during the examination.
