The five organs, or heart, liver, spleen, lungs and kidneys are collectively known as the five organs. The heart and lungs are located in the chest, the liver in the abdomen, the spleen in the middle Jiao, and the kidneys in the waist.

3. Spleen: Located in the middle jiao, under the diaphragm and to the left of the stomach. The main physiological function of the spleen is to transport and regulate blood.
4. Liver: located in the abdominal cavity, below the diaphragm and within the right side of the abdomen. The main physiological function of the liver is to be the main detector and collector of blood.
5. Kidney: located in the waist on both sides of the spine, one on each side. The main physiological functions of the kidneys are to store essence (storing and sealing the essence), to regulate water (regulating the metabolism of water and fluids in the whole body), and to take in qi (taking in the clear qi of nature inhaled by the lungs, maintaining the depth of inhalation, and preventing superficial respiration).
