Can you get a booster shot if you’re under 18?

Booster shots are not recommended for people under 18 years of age at this time.

According to the needs of epidemic prevention and control in China, booster vaccination is implemented in people over 18 years of age who have completed six months after the full vaccination. The third injection of the new crown vaccine is designed to stimulate the organism to produce new antibodies, so that the antibody level is maintained at a higher stage, capable of resisting the new crown virus, and booster vaccination is not currently recommended for people under 18 years of age.

The main reason for this is that because the clinical studies of Phase I and Phase II of the New Crown Vaccine are currently being conducted above the age of 18 years, and there is no clinical study data on the age group of 3-17 years, the impact of the booster shot on the immunogenicity of the 3-17 year olds and its side effects are still unclear, so it is not recommended that minors under the age of 18 years be vaccinated at the present time.

Under 18 years of age can not play booster shots, it is recommended to follow up on the national epidemic prevention and control of new policies, if there is discomfort, to go to the hospital in a timely manner for examination, do not take the liberty of using drugs, so as not to cause adverse consequences.
