Pyrazinamide Tablets are mainly used for the treatment of tuberculosis. Pyrazinamide Tablet is an anti-tuberculosis drug with good efficacy against Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and can be used in combination with other anti-tuberculosis drugs (e.g., isoniazid, rifampicin, etc.) for the treatment of tuberculosis, mainly used in the first 8 weeks of a short course of therapy or in retreatment cases that have become resistant to other anti-tuberculosis drugs, and it is a preferred drug for tuberculous meningitis. The common adverse effects of this product include arthralgia (due to hyperuricemia, often mild and self-limiting); in addition, it can cause loss of appetite, fever, malaise or weakness, yellowing of the eyes or skin (hepatotoxicity), and chills, etc. Pyrazinamide affects blood glucose in diabetic patients, causing an increase in aminotransferases, which can lead to jaundice, and occasional dermatitis-like reddish-brown color changes in the skin. Allergic to the product is prohibited; diabetes mellitus, severe hepatic insufficiency, gout patients should be used with caution. Special populations: pregnant patients should be considered in the use of other antituberculosis drug resistance and sensitive to the product; children are not suitable for use, should be weighed against the pros and cons of the decision; the safety of the use of the drug in elderly patients is not yet clear.
