The non-heating serologic test for syphilis is a clinical test to identify whether the syphilis is in the resting or active form. If the patient’s serum reactivity test is negative and the blood test for syphilis antibodies is positive, it means that the patient was previously infected with syphilis and is now cured and does not need treatment. If the patient does not have a positive serum reactive element test, the blood test for syphilis antibodies will also be positive. The ratio is 1:1, 1:4, 1:8 and so on. This means that the patient needs treatment. The higher the ratio of antibodies, the more syphilis spirochetes in the patient’s body, belonging to the active syphilis, need to use penicillin to carry out treatment. Therefore, in the event of a negative serologic test for syphilis without heating, it is recommended that the patient go to the hospital for another review after three months, so as to make a judgment based on past medical history. Syphilis is a chronic infectious disease caused by the syphilis spirochete, and it is recommended that patients should avoid unclean sex.
