How to correct eye asymmetry

There are more causes of eye asymmetry, and patients need to correct it according to the cause by clinical observation, glasses and surgical treatment to improve the appearance. If the patient’s eyes are asymmetrical, it is mostly caused by eye strabismus. If the strabismus is not obvious, the patient can consider clinical observation. If the strabismus is obvious or accompanied by refractive error, amblyopia and other eye diseases, patients can wear glasses to correct the refractive error and balance the eye position. If the patient has a large degree of strabismus, the patient can have surgery to correct the strabismus and restore normal eye position. If there is an asymmetry in the size of the eyelids due to double eyelids, patients may consider blepharoplasty or other reconstructive surgery to improve the appearance of the eyelids. If the asymmetry is caused by ptosis, the patient may undergo ptosis correction surgery. It is recommended that patients with eye asymmetry seek medical attention to evaluate their condition and follow their doctor’s instructions.
