Twitching at the corners of the mouth may be related to facial muscle spasm, or it may be caused by cerebrovascular disease, epilepsy, Tourette’s syndrome and other reasons.

3. Epilepsy: When epileptic patients have seizures, they may show symptoms of twitching of the corners of the mouth, accompanied by shaking of the limbs, numbness of the hands and feet, and crooked mouth and eyes, which are mainly caused by abnormal discharges of neurons in the brain.
4. Tourette’s syndrome: it may be related to genetic factors, social and environmental factors, and organic brain factors. When Tourette’s syndrome has an attack, it will cause twitching of the corners of the mouth, and when it is serious, it can cause sleep disorders and psychosomatic disorders.
