Protruding incisors can be treated with orthodontic treatment, crown restoration, dental implants, and combined orthodontic and orthopedic treatment depending on your situation. 1. If it is mild dental incisor protrusion and the teeth are not crowded, cosmetic crown restoration can be used, i.e., the tilt of the crown is used to inwardly retract the anterior teeth and improve the protrusion of the teeth. 2. If the teeth are crowded, or if the protrusion is mild to moderate bony incisors, orthodontic treatment can be chosen, by reducing the number of extractions and using the supportive nails to internalize the upper and lower jaw anterior teeth. 3. In case of severe bony incisor protrusion, combined orthodontic and maxillofacial treatment is needed to improve the protruding incisors by retracting the bone blocks and adjusting the dental arch and jaw relationship. 4. For protruding incisors caused by periodontal disease, if the alveoli are mildly resorbed, orthodontics can be performed after treating periodontal disease. If the periodontal disease is more serious and the alveolus is heavily resorbed, which is not suitable for orthodontic treatment, the teeth can be extracted and treated with dental implants. Patients are advised to go to the dentist for a detailed examination and choose the treatment that suits their situation.
