Rattling of bones on one side of the mouth is a clinical manifestation of temporomandibular joint disorders. Temporomandibular joint disorder is one of the common diseases in oral and maxillofacial surgery, which is mainly caused by bad chewing habits, cold stimulation or mental overstress; its main symptoms include TMJ popping (i.e., ringing of the bones on one side of the mouth), mouth opening restriction and joint pain. The main symptoms include popping of TMJ (i.e. rattling of bones in mouth), limitation of mouth opening and joint pain, etc. For TMJ, it is recommended to consult a doctor for symptomatic treatment, and the main treatments include hot compresses, infrared physiotherapy, local closed treatment and surgical treatment, etc.; and in normal times, it is necessary to avoid chewing on one side, chewing on hard objects, paying attention to joint warmth and timely psychological counseling in order to prevent the appearance of above mentioned symptoms effectively.
