Diclofenac sodium extended-release tablets have the efficacy of relieving the symptoms of acute exacerbation or persistent joint swelling and pain in rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, spondyloarthropathies, gouty arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and other chronic arthritis, and so on. Diclofenac sodium extended-release tablets is a kind of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesic derived from phenylacetic acid, and its mechanism of action is to inhibit the activity of cyclooxygenase, thus blocking the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandins, thus providing pain relief. It has a number of adverse effects, including epigastric pain, nausea, gastric bleeding, and rash. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the product, patients with asthma, urticaria, or allergic reactions induced by taking aspirin or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Contraindicated in the treatment of perioperative pain in coronary artery bypass grafting surgery, and in patients with active peptic ulcers or bleeding, or who have had previous recurrence of ulcers or bleeding.
