When a middle-aged woman has a cold accompanied by obvious fever symptoms, she may need to take a small injection, but in most cases, only oral medication is needed for treatment. If a middle-aged woman with a cold is accompanied by a high fever, with a body temperature greater than 38.5℃, and if muscle pain, fatigue and other related symptoms are more significant, intramuscular injections of fever-reducing medications such as compound aminobarbital may be considered to alleviate the above symptoms. However, when middle-aged women have a cold, small injections are not necessary. In most cases, the condition can be controlled by oral medication, such as acetaminophen and other fever-reducing medications for symptomatic treatment, or aminoglutethimide capsules and other compound cold and flu medications for symptomatic treatment. With oral medication, the patient’s clinical symptoms will generally improve. When a middle-aged woman has a cold combined with a bacterial infection, antibiotics such as amoxicillin may be required, and most do not require intramuscular injection of antibiotics.
