What are the causes of dacryocystitis?

Etiology of lacrimal sacculitis Caused by obstruction or narrowing of the nasolacrimal duct. Common in trachoma tear duct trauma rhinitis nasal septum deviation, nasal polyps inferior turbinate hypertrophy and other obstruction of the nasolacrimal duct tears can not be discharged, long-term retention in the tear sac in the tear fluid bacteria, such as pneumococcus staphylococcus, etc.. In this breeding stimulate the tear sac wall caused by chronic inflammation of the tear sac mucosa to produce mucus or purulent secretions. Symptoms of lacrimal sac infection Tearing of the eyes may be due to loose skin of the lower eyelid, and when blinking the eyes, the infundibular muscles do not have enough strength to compress the tear sac and cannot send the tears into the nasal cavity. It is not due to blockage of the tear duct or tear point ectropion. Tearing eyes can be divided into two types of cold tears and hot tears: 1. cold tears: eyes are not red, often tearing, more so when facing the wind, tears are thin, if not treated, over time, will make the eyes dim, can not identify the color. 2, hot tears: eyes red, swollen and painful, fear of light, tears mucous, mostly with other eye disease complications. There are roughly 3 causes of frequent eye tears: 1. Tear point ectropion. The lower tear point leaves the eye, [tears cannot flow into the lower tear point, so tearing symptoms occur. 2. Narrow or occluded tear dots. Caused by blepharitis, burns, other trauma, or eyelashes entering the tear duct. There are also congenital symptoms. 3. Narrowing or occlusion of the lacrimal duct. Mostly develops due to scar tissue, stones or entry of eyelashes after trachoma infection. Typical symptoms at the time of diagnosis: 1. Tearing in the wind. In one or both eyes, when the temperature drops or when there is cold wind stimulation, tears flow out quickly, accompanied by itching and astringent sensation of the eyes. 2. Frequent tearing. The eyes often weep without stimulation, and the tears are thin and clear, without pain or redness.
