Tegretol tablets are taken twice a day.
Tegretol tablets are taken orally, either before or after meals, twice daily. Tegretol tablets are antiplatelet agents, mainly used in patients with acute coronary syndromes, including patients undergoing pharmacologic therapy and percutaneous coronary intervention, to reduce the incidence of thrombotic cardiovascular events, among others.
It should be noted that the use of the drug is prohibited in people who are allergic to Tegretol or any of the excipient components of the product, in people with active pathologic bleeding, in people with a history of intracranial hemorrhage, and in patients with moderate, as well as severe, hepatic impairment. During the administration of the drug, it is forbidden to consume alcohol or drink beverages containing alcohol, as this increases the risk of gastric bleeding.
Patients may experience adverse reactions such as elevated blood uric acid, cerebral hemorrhage, dyspnea, gastrointestinal bleeding, subcutaneous hematomas, contusions, hematuria, and bleeding at the site of vascular puncture.
Therefore, it is recommended that when taking Tegretol tablets patients should be under the guidance of a doctor, do not blindly use the drug on their own, in order to avoid adverse reactions and aggravate the condition.
