Colds generally refer to upper respiratory tract infections. Babies with upper respiratory tract infections that present with an unventilated nose can be treated with general therapy and medication to relieve symptoms. Upper respiratory tract infections can be caused by pathogen infections, sudden climate changes, and low immune function. Symptoms include runny nose, sneezing, nasal congestion, hoarseness and so on. 1. General treatment: Nasal saline can be used to wash the nose, or hot compresses on the nose with a towel and other methods to relieve symptoms. In daily life, we need to ensure that children have enough rest and eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. 2. Medication: The child can be given nasal decongestant medication, such as pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, as prescribed by the doctor. Or oral antihistamine drugs, such as loratadine (less than 2 years of age with caution). If the child suffers from upper respiratory tract infection, parents are advised to take the child to a regular hospital and actively cooperate with the doctor to take relevant treatment measures, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
