Numbness of the fingertips is related to Raynaud’s disease, carpal tunnel syndrome, cervical spondylosis, diabetic peripheral neuropathy and so on. 1. Raynaud’s disease: after the patient is subjected to cold or emotional excitement, the arteries of the fingers and toes appear spasm, thus showing the phenomenon of numbness and tingling of the fingers. 2. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: A disease in which the median nerve is compressed when it passes through the carpal tunnel, causing abnormal sensory dysfunction in the limbs. Patients will feel numbness and pain in the areas innervated by the median nerve, such as the index finger and the middle finger. 3. Cervical spondylosis: compression of the cervical spine on the nerve roots or spinal cord can cause numbness and pain in the fingers, and motor function will be affected, accompanied by neck and shoulder pain and discomfort. 4. Diabetic peripheral neuropathy: It is the nerve damage caused by diabetes, which sometimes affects the fingers and arms, manifesting as numbness and other sensory abnormalities. Therefore, the causes of finger numbness are very complex, and need to be combined with the patient’s accompanying symptoms, improve the relevant examination, and clarify the cause of the disease, so as to systematically treat.
