How do most thymomas need to be treated?

The main treatment for thymoma is surgery, and for locally advanced thymoma, adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy are required after surgery. Patients with inoperable thymoma should not give up on treatment. Non-surgical treatment such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy or a combination of treatments can often be used to reduce the size of the lesion, and surgery can be considered after the lesion has shrunk.
