Thymoma is a malignant tumor, and the term “benign thymoma” generally refers to thymoma type A or AB. A thymoma measuring 2 cm x 1.2 cm will not grow significantly after 3 months.

Thymoma 2cm×1.2cm may or will progress later and may cause tumor compression or invasion of adjacent mediastinal tissues and structures, or thymoma autoimmune disorders such as myasthenia gravis, erythrocyte dysplasia, hypogammaglobulinemia, systemic lupus erythematosus, polymyositis, etc. It is recommended to remove the tumor surgically at the earliest possible time.
Whether “benign thymoma” 2 cm x 1.2 cm will grow after 3 months is recommended to go to the hospital for further consultation or treatment.
