Can Thymoma 1.8 be treated conservatively?

Conservative treatment is not recommended for thymoma 1.8cm, surgical treatment is preferred.
Thymoma is a tumor with relatively low malignancy, but peripheral infiltration and distant metastasis may occur, and early surgical treatment can obtain a good prognosis, therefore, conservative treatment is not recommended.
Currently, the preferred treatment for thymoma is surgical resection. At present, the tumor is 1.8cm, which is relatively small, and most of them can be treated with radical surgical resection, such as total thymectomy, which even includes the pericardium, nerve tissues, pleura, and lung tissues, etc. If there is no radical treatment or distant metastasis, the tumor can be treated by surgery.
If it is not cured or there is distant metastasis, radiotherapy and chemotherapy can also be used adjunctively, and the commonly used chemotherapeutic drugs include cisplatin and doxorubicin.
After the discovery of thymoma, go to the hospital in time to avoid aggravation of the condition.
