The causes of lung cancer have not been clearly defined. It is considered to be due to various factors such as smoking, occupational exposure, air pollution, ionizing radiation, heredity and genes, previous lung diseases, and others.
1. Smoking: Smoking is currently the most common cause of lung cancer, and smokers have 20 times higher risk of lung cancer than non-smokers, including passive smoking and environmental smoking.
2. Occupational exposure: the working environment of lung cancer patients has asbestos, arsenic, chromium, coal tar, mustard gas, formaldehyde and other cancer-causing factors, which will increase the risk of lung cancer.
3. Air pollution: if patients are in the indoor pollution produced by fuel combustion or cooking, or outdoor pollution such as industrial waste gas and automobile exhaust, it will increase the chances of patients suffering from lung cancer.
4. Ionizing radiation: human lungs are more sensitive to radiation, if patients undergo large doses of ionizing radiation, it may lead to increased risk of lung cancer.
5. Heredity and gene: lung cancer may be caused by family aggregation, genetic susceptibility to infection, genetic changes and other factors.
6. Previous lung diseases: if the patient himself has tuberculosis, bronchial dilatation and other diseases, it will also increase the risk of lung cancer.
7. Others: HIV and other viral infections are also related to lung cancer to a certain extent.
The causes of lung cancer are not clear yet, so patients are suggested to reduce smoking in daily life, develop healthy living habits, and have regular medical checkups to achieve early detection and early treatment.
