Where is the lymph in the neck?

Neck lymph nodes are mainly located on both sides of the trachea, that is, in front of the neck and on the side of the neck, surrounding the internal and external jugular veins beyond. According to the clinical anatomical distribution, neck lymph nodes can be divided into seven zones: 1. Zone I: mainly distributed in the submandibular region. 2. Zone II, Zone III, Zone IV: mainly distributed around the internal jugular vein, Zone II, Zone III, Zone IV are distributed in the upper side of the lateral neck, the middle side of the lateral neck and the lower side of the lateral neck respectively. 3. Zone V: mainly distributed in the posterior border of the sternocleidomastoid muscle and the anterior border of the trapezius muscle, often referred to as the cervical triangle. 4. Zone VI: also known as the central zone, it is also a common lymph node metastasis zone in thyroid cancer. 5. Zone VII: also known as the upper mediastinal lymph nodes, mainly in the location of the sternal stalk. Neck lymph nodes are scattered, so if there is pain or swelling in neck lymph, you should go to the hospital in time and take corresponding treatment according to the cause of the disease.
