Cirrhosis occurs at the end stage of liver disease and can affect a patient’s quality of life as liver function is severely impaired. Patients with cirrhosis need to rest or even be bedridden and have a reduced ability to work and are unable to perform heavy work. Cirrhosis is also at risk of progressing to liver cancer and its complications can even directly affect the patient’s life and health.
