The presence of liver palms, accompanied by bleeding gums, vomiting of blood and black stools, lethargy and weakness, should prompt medical attention. Patients who experience acute bleeding, develop shock, complications such as hepatorenal syndrome or hepatic encephalopathy and other serious illnesses should be taken to the emergency room immediately for urgent management.
