Hepatic ascites is one of the most common complications of cirrhosis, also known as cirrhotic ascites. Hepatic ascites looks like obvious bulging of the abdomen, taut and shiny abdominal skin, traits such as frog abdomen, which can be accompanied by dyspnea, swelling of the lower limbs, walking difficulties.
In severe cases, navel hernia and dyspnea occur. Patients are self-conscious of abdominal distension, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, mild abdominal pain, and when liver function appears obvious abnormalities, patients appear to have yellow skin sclera.
