Epidurals and hemianesthesia are available for hysteroscopic procedures. Hemianesthesia includes epidural anesthesia. Hysteroscopic procedures include some hysteroscopies, abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroid surgery, and release of uterine adhesions. For simple hysteroscopy and biopsy, no anesthesia may be required. For hysteroscopic surgery, general anesthesia, epidural block, subarachnoid block, lumbar anesthesia-epidural combined block can be used. The above anesthesia methods are collectively called intrathecal anesthesia, and the block range of intrathecal anesthesia is T10~S5 (lumbar 10~sacral 5). Other anesthesia methods are general anesthesia, and intravenous general anesthesia is currently the most common. Vagal tension syndrome may occur during the operation, with clinical manifestations of nausea, vomiting, bradycardia, hypotension, and in severe cases, cardiac arrest.
