How to stop bleeding by stuffing

The plugging method is used to stop bleeding by inserting gauze into the cavity and fixing it with a sterile gauze bandage under pressure, so that the ruptured microscopic blood vessels are constricted by appropriate pressure. The plugging method is mainly used clinically after abscess incision and drainage, and after sebaceous cyst excision, and after lipoma excision. Since there is a large cavity left after resection of the tumor, but there is no clear blood vessel rupture bleeding, it is impossible to stop bleeding by ligation or suturing, so the only way to stop bleeding is to insert gauze into the residual cavity and fix it with a sterile gauze bandage under pressure to compress the tiny blood vessel rupture and contraction. This method has a general hemostatic effect and low pressure, and cannot be applied to arterial or venous rupture bleeding, but only to tiny traumatic rupture bleeding.
