The most common type of buzzing in the ears when quiet is neurological tinnitus. There are several clinical levels of neurological tinnitus, the mildest of which is neurological tinnitus that occurs when the patient is at quiet rest. For the treatment of neural tinnitus, it is clinically recommended that patients go to an otology clinic to have an examination of the ear canal and tympanic membrane, and then check the pure tone hearing threshold and acoustic conductance test to rule out other diseases such as otitis media. Neurological tinnitus may be caused by insufficient blood supply to the inner ear, or it may be caused by fluid accumulation in the membranous vagus, damage to the cochlear hair cells, capillary spasm, and other factors. Clinically, the treatment for such diseases mainly includes the following aspects: 1) nerve-nourishing and vasodilating drugs can be applied to improve inner ear microcirculation and promote the recovery of inner ear hair cells and inner ear nerves; 2) if the patient allows, oral hormones can be administered for a short period of time for symptomatic treatment; 3) acupuncture and other treatments can be performed. All in all, patients like this are advised to get a good night’s sleep, avoid anxiety, depression and other negative emotions, and develop good work and rest and living habits.
