Can Thyroid Cancer Lung Metastases Be Cured

Whether thyroid cancer lung metastasis can be cured is related to how many lung metastases the patient has and how much malignancy of thyroid pathology: when the metastases are many and the degree of malignancy of thyroid pathology is high, it can’t be cured; when there are fewer metastases and the degree of malignancy of thyroid pathology is low, it is possible to be cured. 1. Fewer metastatic foci and lower degree of malignancy: when the pathological type of thyroid cancer and how many metastases determine whether thyroid cancer lung metastasis can be cured. If the pathological type of thyroid cancer is micro-infiltration, low malignancy and only 1~2 metastatic foci, even if there is lung metastasis, the patient will not experience deterioration in a short time, and the metastatic foci can be ablated by local ablation method to achieve clinical cure. 2. Many metastatic foci and high degree of malignancy: if the pathology of thyroid cancer has high degree of malignancy and more lung metastatic foci, it will cause the decline of patients’ lung function and increase of metastatic foci, and usually the prognosis is poor and unable to be cured. It is recommended to consult the hospital and standardize the treatment.
