Refractory psychosis literally refers to a mental illness that is difficult to treat, and is a type of psychosis that cannot be controlled by conventional treatment methods. Clinically, it refers to a condition that has been onset for more than 3 years and remains recurrent and incurable after treatment by conventional methods such as medication and electroconvulsive therapy. The disease includes conditions such as schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, mania, and bipolar disorder. The cause of the disease is not yet clear, and the onset is mainly related to the limbic system, self factors, factors of the disease itself, social factors and environmental factors.
