How to do breast self-examination?

How do I do a breast self-examination? Do a breast self-exam as described below: In front of a mirror 1. Stand in front of a large, well-lit mirror with your clothes down to your waist and look at your breasts. Don’t scream if the two breasts are different shapes and sizes. Most women’s breasts are of different sizes. With your arms naturally down, look carefully at your breasts for any changes in size, shape, position or skin, for wrinkles, small dents, sores and discoloration of the skin. Examine your nipples for small dents, flaking and changes in orientation. 2. Brace the palms of your hands on your hips and press down hard to bring out the pectoral muscles in front of your breasts, turning your body to facilitate a clear examination of the external changes in your breasts. 3.Bend over in front of the mirror and turn your arms and elbows to tense the pectoral muscles so that the breasts fall forward and observe the changes in the shape and contour of the breasts. 4. With hands clasped behind the head and arms pressed forward, rotate the body to observe the peripheral part of the breast. Remember to look at the marginal part of the breast, which requires you to hold the breast up with your hands to observe. 5. Check for fluid flow from the nipple. Pinch your thumb and index finger on the peripheral tissue of the nipple and pull it toward the nipple to see if there is fluid flow. Repeat the same action on the other side to do the check. In the shower 6. Check your underarm area for lumps or growths by first washing your hands slippery with soap. Press the palm of your left hand on your hip and go to touch your left armpit with your right hand to feel the changes. In the same way, check the right armpit. 7. Check both sides above and below the collarbone for any lumps or growths. 8. Apply soap solution to both hands, place one arm behind the head to expand the breast tissue, and use the fingers and abdomen of the other hand to gently press and feel the breast, feeling the area from the clavicle to the lower edge of the underwear back and forth along the breast, and in this manner until you have touched the entire breast. Feel the other side in the same way. When lying down 9. lie flat on your back with a small pillow or folded towel under your shoulder, place your right hand behind your head, put the fingers of your left hand together and check the front of your right breast by touching it with your fingertips. Washing with body wash can make this part of the examination smoother.
