What causes bones to click?

Bone clicking may be caused by the following reasons: 1. It may produce a transient periosteal related injury, such as when a fracture occurs, and the patient is able to clearly hear or feel a strange noise around the bone. When the fracture occurs, there will be a localized bone rubbing sound, bone rubbing sensation, and accompanied by severe pain. Similar symptoms may occur if there is an associated injury to the tendons surrounding the bone. For example, when the Achilles tendon is ruptured, there may be a similar sensation.2. Due to the old injury of the bone, such as the patient has an old fracture, and the fracture heals poorly during the recovery process, or even does not heal at all, and the fracture end will have abnormal activities, which will lead to the patient’s bone clicking sensation.3. Due to the serious joint lesions around the bone, such as the patient has severe Osteoarthritis, due to excessive wear and tear of the bones inside the joints, resulting in a very discordant noise in the activities.
