Early stage rectal cancer patients usually have no pain. As the disease progresses, the pain is mainly concentrated in the lower abdomen and lumbosacral region. Early stage rectal cancer patients usually have no obvious symptoms. If the disease progresses or the tumor invades the lumbosacral plexus, symptoms such as lower abdominal pain and lumbosacral pain may appear; they may also be accompanied by frequent bowel movements, change of bowel habit, urgency and heaviness, feeling of anus falling down before defecation, feeling of incomplete defecation and other symptoms. If the tumor position is low, it may cause pressure on perineum, resulting in pain in perineum; if the cancer cells in the body have metastasis to pelvic lymph nodes, it may lead to pain in pelvic area; if the tumor invades prostate and bladder, it may cause urinary pain, hematuria, frequent urination, urgency of urination and other symptoms. If patients are diagnosed with rectal cancer, they need to go to regular hospitals in time and follow the diagnosis and treatment advice of specialists to carry out standardized treatment, so as to avoid delay in treatment.
