Symptoms of the recent novel coronavirus are typically fever, dry cough, malaise, and in a few patients, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, muscle aches, and diarrhea; not all patients will present with the typical respiratory infection. Some patients may present with symptoms of other systems, such as diarrhea, fatigue, nausea, and poor appetite in the digestive system, chest tightness and panic in the cardiovascular system, and headache in the nervous system. These patients are easily overlooked or missed and may be seen in departments other than respiratory medicine, so they need to be vigilant.
