The dangers of not having your period

The term “great aunt” generally refers to a woman’s menstrual period. Prolonged absence of menstruation may lead to endocrine disorders, infertility and gynecological infections.

1. Endocrine disorders: Long absence of menstruation indicates that the patient’s hormone secretion is unstable or the hormone level is low, and endocrine disorders occur, which not only affects menstruation, but also may cause various uncomfortable symptoms such as acne, depression, and irritability.

2. Infertility: If the menstruation does not come for a long time, the patient may have abnormal ovulation, or even no ovulation, which may lead to the patient’s difficulty in getting pregnant or even infertility.

3. Gynecological inflammation: If menstruation does not come for a long time, it may cause the immunity of female reproductive tract to decrease, which may lead to gynecological inflammation, such as endometritis, cervicitis and so on.

If the patient does not have menstruation for a long time, it is recommended to carry out standardized treatment as soon as possible to reduce the adverse effects of the disease.
