1. Physiological: the child’s lisp may be the lack of language environment, imitation of parental speech, etc., you can communicate with the child in daily life, give positive feedback when the child speaks, and pay attention to have patience when talking to the child, to avoid lisp.
2. Pathologic:
(1) If the lisp is due to a short tongue tie, tongue tie release surgery is needed, and the child’s speech may slowly become clearer.
(2) If the child was born with craniocerebral injury or ischemic-hypoxic encephalopathy, cerebral palsy, etc., you need to consult the pediatric rehabilitation department in a timely manner, and long-term language rehabilitation training, the symptoms can be slowly alleviated.
Parents need to be patient and gradually guide their children to speak slowly when their children have slurred speech. If the symptoms of slurred speech are not relieved, or accompanied by other symptoms, you should go to the hospital in a timely manner, to identify the cause of the problem and then give targeted treatment or therapy.
