Symptoms of Butterfly Sinusitis

Symptoms of pterygoid sinusitis this is mainly headache, runny nose, abnormal sense of smell and so on.
1. Headache: the pterygoid sinus is a part of the sinus, and the relationship with the nerve is close, pterygoid sinus inflammation will make the mucous membrane of the natural opening of the pterygoid sinus swollen, which will stimulate the nerve and induce neurological headache. Pterygoid sinusitis can be manifested as persistent or intermittent headache, with dull pain deep in the head or occipital region.
2. Runny nose: patients with pteroid sinusitis have a runny nose because after external factors stimulate the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity, the permeability of blood vessels will change, and when the secretion of the glands increases, the nasal mucus will increase relatively. The nasal mucus is mostly purulent, sometimes flowing backward to the nasopharynx, or sucking backward to the mouth, and some patients have blood in the nasal mucus.
3. Abnormal sense of smell: The nasal secretion of patients with pteroid sinusitis will increase, which will easily block the olfactory fissure, resulting in decreased sense of smell, and in severe cases, there will be a lack of smell.
It is recommended to go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time after the above symptoms occur.
