How to tell if you have a cold stomach



If you have symptoms such as fear of cold, pain in the stomach, and liking to drink hot water, you may have stomach cold.

Stomach cold refers to the symptoms manifested in the internal organs of the stomach due to over-eating of cold and irregular diet, resulting in Yin cold staying in the stomach. According to the actuality, it can be mainly divided into cold evil stomach and stomach qi deficiency cold.

When cold invades the stomach, the stomach is out of harmony (the stomach’s function is impaired), which is mainly manifested as cold pain in the stomach and epigastric region, which is more acute, preferring warmth and heat, and there may be symptoms such as vomiting of clear water, and coldness in the limbs (fear of cold).

Stomach qi deficiency and cold, also known as spleen and stomach yang deficiency, i.e., spleen and stomach yang deficiency, loss of warmth, mainly manifested as abdominal distension, poor appetite, epigastric and abdominal cold pain (stomach and abdomen feel cold pain), like warmth, like to press, loose stools, etc., and often the disease course is long, prolonged and not cured.
