It takes about 1 to 2 weeks to recover from minimally invasive lung nodule surgery, or longer for traditional open heart surgery. Generally, for larger lung nodules with higher malignant potential, timely surgical treatment is required. Most patients prefer minimally invasive thoracoscopic surgery, minimally invasive surgery is less traumatic, fast recovery, generally 1~2 weeks after surgery can recover, but the specific recovery time also needs to be combined with the size of the scope of the surgery, nodule pathology and the patient’s own physical condition comprehensive judgment. If it is a benign lung nodule, local resection surgery, the recovery time is faster, hospitalization 2~3 days can be discharged, 1~2 weeks after discharge basically can carry on normal life. However, in the case of malignant lung nodules, segmental and lobar resections may be required, as well as the removal of regional lymph nodes, resulting in a relatively longer recovery time. In addition, some patients undergoing traditional open-heart surgery have a significantly longer postoperative recovery time because of the enormous trauma, and may only gradually recover 1-2 months after surgery.
